Russell Kane & Chris Ramsey

Feb 6, 2011 10:57 AM By Kee , In ,

OK, first we have to apologise for the lack of updates. We don't really have a excuse but we promise to try to update more regularly. So this month's Of The Month is comedy centered.

This past Wednesday, we, as the bored teenagers we are, decided to go see Russell Kane who surprised us with a amazing opening act by the name of Chris Ramsey. Both Russell and Chris where energetic, self deprecating, interacted well with the audience and were absolutely hilarious. Chris was so good we are already making plans to go see him and Tom Deacon in May. We both highly recommend going to see them if you have the time. Tickets were relatively cheap and well worth the money.

Okay so Augusts of the month is a tiny bit late.... My fault sorry.

So my of the month is this summers new film releases. Some like Piranha and Diary of a Wimpy Kid are in my not so professional opinion monumentally bad. Others such as The Last Air Bender and Toy Story 3 all though good are not the amazing films they where hyped up to be. The A-Team on the other hand was spectacular as long as you take it as a film its self and do not obsessively compare it to the old A-team. Inception was with out a doubt one of the best films to be released this year it is simply mind blowing.

These are however just my personal opinions feel free to let your own be known maybe you will convince me to change my mind :)

July 2010 - TV Show Of The Month

Jul 19, 2010 12:18 AM By Ally , In ,

Stand Up For The Week

Hosted by Patrick Kielty, and featuring Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges, Rich Hall, Andi Osho and a different special guest each week. There's also a regular feature called The Chair, where a celebrity (although I use the word loosely) must endure 2 minutes of being the butt of Patrick Kielty's jokes. It's topical, relevant and really funny - my personal highlights each week are Jack Whitehall and Rich Hall.

This is a five-track EP by YouTube musician Eddplant. I discovered this only a couple of days ago and haven’t stopped listening to it since. It captivated me at the first listen.

Ed’s music is acoustic, with folky sounds coming through in places, especially on tracks like Night Train. All five tracks have infectious melodies and down-to-earth lyrics, but my personal favourite track the first one, What’s It Like?.

You can listen to the whole EP for free using the link above, and if you want more of Ed’s music, you can download plenty of covers and a couple of original songs for free at his website.

Sorry for the wait between updates. I blame Ally ... :)

So opinions please
1) What do you think of our new ConDem nation? Conservative plus Liberal Democrats doesn't exactly sound like a match made in heaven to me.
2) Eurovision, who's going to win? I've only just gotten over the last one.
3) What do we think of Britain's Got Talent - Good?
- Bad?
- Don't care?
Personally I think some acts are good but some are just down right terrible.
4) Who's going to win the World Cup? go England

Anyway we promise to update with a of the month soon... Right Ally?

Oh dear & a new feature

We haven't updated for a while...sorry about that. In our defense, we've both had exams and real life to deal with!

Anyway, I'm here to introduce a new feature to the blog: Of The Month.

Each month, we're going to recommend something we like. It could be anything - a book, film, album, TV show...anything.

That's going to start this month. Either Kee or I will update within the next few days telling you March's Of The Month, so look out for that. =D

"It's political correctness gone mad."

Jan 30, 2010 11:25 PM By Ally , In ,

These days, every other thing you say is discriminatory towards someone, which is exactly why Mrs. Nicole Mamo worded her advert for hospital staff very carefully.

Except now, apparently asking for 'hard working' and 'reliable' applicants is offensive to those who are lazy, unreliable and generally completely useless.

It makes me wonder what the world is coming to when employers can't ask for qualities which are desirable for any job. It's ridiculous, and it'll get to the point where 'IT technician required. Must know how to use a computer.' will be considered politically incorrect.
